I'm thinking about getting some of these RDC Cones for my speaker stands and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me.

Basically I have some Atacama SE24 speaker stands currently filled with sand with mini rounded tipped spikes on top for the speakers (B&W CDM1SE) to sit on. On the bottom I have spikes which I have sitting on 5 pence pieces

The sound is pretty good but I want to improve upon it as I do get some vibration on the floor at medium to high volume levels. The sand in the stands make them pretty rock solid as well as the spikes being adjusted individually to make a stable base.

Do you think the RDC Cones will help improve things? And if so, for those familiar with the Atacama SE24 stands, shall I replace the bottom spikes with these, or put them directly under the speakers on top of the stands? Not sure which way is best. Also should I get the non threaded version or a threaded version to screw into the stands. Problem with that is that I have no idea which size thread the Atacama's use...M6, M8's?

I'm also not sure whether the RDC 1 size is best or whether the RDC 2's would take the weight of sand filled stands?

Advice would be welcome!
