Help me peeps. Am I being dumb or is this thing just ****.

Can’t locate CCA via Spotify app... Nothing’s changed in terms of location. Still within 2ft of WiFi.

Have reset CCA and it tells me ready to cast.

Did plug in the Tacima extension to hifi recently, but had the CCA in that too (not currently), can’t imagine a mains filter will disturb it (?), but if does why did it work last time.

Done a WiFi speed test... 36.8 / 6.45 (down/up)

i am being dumb or is this just trash?

Time for dedicated proper streamer me-thinks.

any suggestions?

IGNORE THREAD - can I delete thread?

Now working again. Not changed anything but suddenly is.

Yeah this is obviously just ****... Time for an upgrade...

Why do you assume it must be the CCA is ****?

I have several (OG Chromecast, Ultra and Audio) and never have any issues with any of them

Its more likely your router/network IME. Try rebooting your Router next time you have an issue...

More importantly if it's "within 2ft of WiFi" which I presume means 2ft from your Router why not hardwire it with Ethernet?

Concur. Got the Ugreen adaptor and dropouts ceased. Now also using wired ethernet to Onkyo receiver with built-in CCA; again no dropouts.

At such extreme close range, you might find that the receiver in either the CCA or your router is overloaded. What happens if you move them further apart or dial down the transmit power on the router (if it offers that option)?

Or could it be this?
