Too right there's some dodgy ones Dave.
But you've actually named two of my favourites.
I remember, back in the 70's, looking out the window on a snowy night, listening on headphones to (a hissy) Capital Radio playing Greg Lake.
I've never before or since felt so Christmassy.

Also like Wings and Elton John.....you all know 'em.

Our decorations are going up early because of lockdown, though I've booked tables at the local for when it's lifted! Have some lasers for outside, but they'll wait until December.

Most Christmas music is appalling, but Fairytale of New York is probably my favourite.

OK... I'd have to agree that the Greg Lake track is my ultimate favourite Christmas song.

And one of my most hated LOL though its a shame its being edited this year, and artist sing about there never regions in colourful ways. PC gone mad again

My favourite Christmas songs actually come from music scores like Home alone or polar express

Though a main stream one that sounds good would be Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you", is actually really well produced

Of course there's always Slade, Wizard or George Michael, all excellent... favourite is still Greg Lake though.

Even though I love the song, I have to agree with the change. If it contained the 'N' word, no-one would bat an eyelid at its removal. But we stray into GRAPES territory, so back on topic.

I like the Mariah Carey one, but it feels like I shouldn't!
Radio 1 must play the edited version, Radio 2 can play the original, 6 Music can take their pick.
Oh how I love this new, inconsistent, 'woke' world we live in.
(My Mum told me her cat had 'N' word name -call it in for dinner these days and you'd be put away).

......Mariah Carey song....sorry but that's one of the ones I could happily do without.
