I am currently using Chord Odyssey biwire. For aesthetic reasons I want to change to a darker coloured speaker cable and ideally a thinner one. Is a change to Epic single wire plus some jumpers likey to be acceptable?

The Epic is better, without question. It's not thinner though..

Yep much better but not thin either. You could always spray the cable you had with a paint can as you could even match it to the carpet etc then ;-)

Thanks for the response. I was thinking that it would be marginly thinner if I went with the single as opposed to bi wire cable.

What? The Epic is no thinner than bi-wired Odyssey? What kind of boa constrictor are we talking here?

I have just found the diameters from the Chord website

Odyssey 2 is an 8mm diameter twisted pair twin conductor cable for single wiring

Odyssey 4 is a 13mm diameter bi-wire cable.

Epic Twin is an 11mm diameter twin conductor cable for single wiring

Epic Super Twin is a 16mm diameter four conductor cable primarily intended for bi-wiring.

So epic twin is not much thinner than odyssey 4. I might still give the single wire epic a try.

If you do go for the epic, let us know what changes in sound it brings from the oddy cable.
