Further to a recent post I got the new job I was after so am going to treat myself to the BD experience.

I currently have a Yamaha add-on processor (no decoding at all) - into a Naim 2 channel system. My current (8 yr old) Pioneer DVD has multi channel outputs.

Should I get the Sony BD 350 AND a Yamaha PSD AX 763 OR just get the more expensive player (the 550) which has multi channel outputs and keep the current processor?

I do like the idea of less cables and if a new Yamaha is really going to sound better than an 8 yr old processor I'm happy to spend the extra.

I know ultimately it's down to how much I want to spend but I'd apreciate your views...

Thanks

OK dull question!

Anyway - have just ordered the 550 from Amazon - £221 plus 3 BD discs and free delivery. At least this way I'm up and running straight away and I can always upgrade the amp later...
