I need a cheap DVD player to keep me going until I go Bru-ray (flipping tosh 370 just died) I need it output the best picture quality possible, don't require the Scaler as my Onkyo875 will do this and be good at audio CD, SACD, DVD-A would be nice but not essential. I was thinking of the Cambridge Audio DVD89 but not sure...............

Thank

Gary

I just purchaed the dvd89 and it look good is built really well and the picture is great but i am really dissapointed with the display and remote.

You cant read the display unless you sit about 2 feet away and the control has really badly laid out small buttons.

I bought this as an upgrade to my old pioneer dvd 575a (to go with my new pana 37px80) which had a really good remote and display so i have struggled to feel completely satisfied with the cambridge despite its build and picture quality
