Channel 4

Noticed something strange last night. Channel 4 was broadcasting in 1080i on the non HD channel. I turned over to Ch4 HD and this was in 1080i. Turned back and "normal Ch4" was still in 1080i.

What is happening?

Umm your receiver box is set to output at 1080i and is thus upscaling?

No, its set to auto. I checked tonight and Ch4 was not broadcasting in 1080i as it was last night and the box is still in auto.

Ah right. Strange.

Can't check it myself, as side of house has been scaffolded since yesterday and thus Sky is out of action.

So am listening to the wireless - very retro...
