If you want loud then yes they're great. If you want high fidelity then no they're not so great.

I always wanted a pair of them when I used to be a raver. Very cool looking speakers.

Welcome to the forum. :)

Better + bigger sound compared to Bose at much higher value for money.

And sometimes you can find a bag of weed stashed inside from the previous owner. *ok*

Ha, Ha, thereby hangs a tale.

A long time ago, 1979 in fact, I had peripheral involvement in the film 'Breaking Glass', staring Hazel O'Connor.

A subplot involved drug smuggling, loads of small white tablets were bagged up and placed inside the bass bins of the PA when the band returned from gigs in Europe.

The bass bins were, of course, Cerwin Vega 'Earthquake' enclosures, originally made for the movie. A year or so later I was servicing some of the equipment and I found several bags of 'drugs' still inside one of the enclosures.

What is quite scary is that in the last year or so the equipment had been all over Europe on tour.

Hate to think what might have happened had the customs officials (pre single market/free movement) actually searched the truck.......*crazy*

They ask for an autograph and enjoy an anecdote for many years to come? *scratch_one-s_head*

You have clearly never stood at an middle european border post with a truckload of equipment and an ATA Carnet that bear no relationship to each other, while men with AK47s stand around looking fed up.

Just about the only thing that saves the day is the fact that none of them, even the officers, can read English. One occasion the only thing to come between us and a lengthy incarceration was two bottles of JD, one for the officer and one to pass around among the men....... *shok*

Absolutely not true Al. I can't think of a single reviewer who would compromise his reputation for a couple of bottles of anything.

Now a week in Pattaya at the expense of one of the big multinationals, another matter entirely.
