I have searched in vain for recommended CD players to use with a pair of Beyerdynamic T1 headphones and a Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amplifier. I understand that £1500 represents the minimum one needs to spend to make the most of the T1/A1 combination but wonder which players sound the best. I see the Roksan Caspian M2 is highly recommended: would this be a good match? (I am looking for a CD player at the lower end of the price range rather than one, say, costing £4000.)
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Try your headphones with a Pathos Digit - very musical CD player.

At the sort of money you're intending to spend, have you considered high quality streamers from the likes of Linn, Naim and Olive - gives access to 24 bit music, which should sound awesome through those headphones.

IMO A Linn Majik DS (around £1850) can hold it's head up in the company of £4k CD players.

It's not just about price it's also about the sound you like. I personally like extreme amounts of detail instead of warmth etc.

But expanding on the previous post regarding also being able to play music from other sources

Don't be put of by the price it's a stunner

If you are feeling flush though

Olive have some interesting ideas

Naim & Linn also have interesting options
