CD PLAYER,(SURROUND) AMP & SPEAKERS (PAIR) £1500 BUDGET - ADVICE PLEASE.

I have a budget of £1500 for a cd based system. My priority is to get a quality system, primarily to play audio cd`s.

The amp however, needs to be a home cinema reciever so that I have the option eventually to add extra speakers for surround sound, and connect up to my existing Sky HD , Blu Ray and HD TV.

Suggestions for the cd system (£1500 budget ) - and also for the additional surround speakers ( £400 budget?) would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest you'll be better off with a separate amp for surround. There are good surround amps out their, Primare springs to mind which do music well but it's not in budget.
So we can make some suggestions we need a few pointers.
What music do you like?
What size is the listening space?
Are their any restrictions in the room i.e speaker placement?
And what sound are you after? Natural and organic, laid back, slightly forward ect..
