CD Player recommendation needed

I need a few recommendations for a new cd player as I have been without one for some time now. I once had a marantz cd63 and then and Arcam alpha 8. I have for the past 4 years used my DVD player and AV amp (NAD L55/L75). It's passable but not musical. What do you guys think could follow their shoes? Thanks. Kel.

If you listen to lots of music (like me) then investment on cd player does make sense. Clare think the new marantz is very good and should be easy to get hold of....why not give it a go?
