So when I was visiting a different city in my country (Netherlands) and saw a HiFi shop I went to have a quick look (who doesn't?) They sold Castle Audio speakers and from what I could hear in a crowded space a nice sounding (and looking) unit. Nice lows, midrange the way I like it, really pleased. It was the Castle Audio Knight 3. I have never seen this brand reviewed or even mentioned before, on any website for the past 5 years. They also seem very affordable with lots of finishes. Why are they so unkown? Or that could just be me being pooryl informed. Are they considered budget or anything (not that it matters)? I would like to hear some thoughts on Castle Audio, maybe where they stand in the HiFi market.

Made in China these days. Used to made in Skipton, North Yorks but went to China some while ago. The UK made ones were very nice speakers had a few models they made. Can't comment on the China ones though. Never heard them.

Yep, the days of real wood cabinets has gone.... unfortunately.

I thought Castle's speakers always used a real wood veneered finish, which is something in which the IAG factory specialises, so in that respect nothing has changed, has it?

If I recall correctly some of Castle speakers were solid wood not be needed MDF. Now that is Sonus Faber quality.
