Can you plug a NAS directly into a streamer?

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody is aware of any streamer/network audio players that you can plug a NAS directly into? The location of my router does not lend itself to a wired connection to the above and I want to take advantage of the 24 bit downloads that are/becoming available.

Many thanks for any help.

no reason why you couldn't plug on in directly, providing it was all hard set up for static ip's etc...

Some streamers will take usb as well, which would negate the need for a nas, just an external hard drive, then there are some nas units that also have usb connections.

sorry, that's probably confused things.

Easier to use Homeplugs rather than bodge, I can stream 24bit OK with them

You seem to be missing the whole concept of a NAS with your question. Have you already purchased a NAS? If not and you want to plug directly into streamer and not share content with any other dlna device in you house then just buying a standard USB disk drive would seem your best bet. Cheaper too!
