It's a pleasure to hear from other guys who have a wife or GF who also appreciate hi-fi,

My girlfriend has no interest in hifi but does like music (and plays the piano and violin).

She would happily just use the cheap throw away earphones that come with an MP3 player but I always insist on getting a semi decent replacement pair anyway. She does appreciate the upgrade in sound quality but at the same time doesn't really care either. So long as she's happy and enjoys the music that's all that matters at the end of the day.
