Can LCD monitor deliver HD quality picture?

Hi. I would be thankful if anyone could explain whether there is any LCD monitor used in computer hardware capable of deliver HD quality picture. Is there any Computer LCD can be hooked up with HDMI cable anyway?

If so, it would be a better choice because LCD TV costs much higher.

This monitor can : HP w2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel .... It has HDMI connection , And im using it for Sky HD , And to tell the truth its alot better picture than most 42inc Plasma and LCDs iv seen!..........................................

For £200 you cant go wrong , I watch Sky Sports HD football on it and its perfect , Best picture iv ever seen apart from the Pioneer 5090.
