Hi there,
I have Atacama Nexus 10 speaker stands for my rear surround speakers in the living room. I also have a 1 year old baby who likes playing with the stands. They're spiked into the floor at the moment, but with full sized bookshelf speakers on top, they are more than an little top heavy (they are not currently ballast filled).
My question is whether or not it's OK to drill a hole (or more than one) through the baseplate and screw the stand directly into the floorboards underneath? I want to stop my inquisitive baby from toppling the lot and braining herself with my AE Aegis Evo 1 speaker.
Suggestions are very welcome!
