Can I rip SACD material on a PC and listen via a squeezebox ?

Newbie question here. Is there a way to rip the SACD data from and SACD to something like FLAC while retaining SACD quality, or can you only rip the regular CD music layer from an SACD using a PC ?

As above, no to SACD, but is possible to rip the uncompressed layer of a DVD-Audio though.
