Yeah, over the next couple of days I'm off to Richers. It's only for the TV to play films and shows via the amp. I'll obv use it for other things further down the line, but TBH my heart isn't in the DacMagic, having owned a early version years ago. Truth is it has a good range of connectivity.

You're right, Dacs don't excite me. But I know it will enhance the sonic experience of the new TV.

Didn't like the first gen DacMagic, it took away from the Arcam experience.

Enjoy, I quite miss Kingston after being at Polytechnic there many moons ago....
Well I think I might go with the Magic 200 as it gives better sound quality, allegedly.

My first Arcam amp (Alpha 7r) was purchased from the Kingston branch in the late 90s.

(Aside from the Dac, they are now selling my Dalis in my colour for £1500. I'm gutted given how long I had to wait and a £300 price drop)

Ho-hum.
