Cambridge CXA61 and Wharfedale Diamond 11.4 Question

Hello all!

I own a Cambridge CXA61 and a pair of Wharfedale 11.4 speakers. I’m very happy with this combination as I feel the Wharfedale’s tone down the slight brightness of the CXA61. I’m very pleased with the sound quality so far.

My question is: If I connect both A and B speaker terminals to the speakers (currently using A), what can I expect to happen?

It is my understanding that using both A and B changes power output. I did see something on the Cambridge website stating that power changes from 60W at 8ohms to 45W at 6ohms when using A and B together. However, someone told me that using A and B together to power the same set of speakers results in 30W at 8ohms instead?

I am a little confused.

I can see why. The A and B speaker terminals are to use two pairs of speakers, one perhaps in a different room., they are not there to drive a single pair of speakers.
