Cambridge Audio and KEF

Hi

I am thinking of buying a Cambridge Audio Azur 840PRE / 840W two box amplifier to drive my KEF XQ40's. Is this s good match?

Yes, CA and KEF can really gel well. The upfront presentation of the CA can be tamed well by the warm nature of the KEF's, IMO.

I think Kef's XQ and some of the lower ranges are nice speakers indeed. I am puzzled as to why they are never mentioned on this forum. I had a 840A and C at home with some iq7's and thought it was nice, better than with Mezzos. Your XQ40's and an Arcam A38 made involving music too.
