Cambridge Audio 640A V2 stereo amp WITH B&W 685 Speakers

Hi I am hoping to by my first decent hifi setup soon.

The Richer Sounds deal http://whathifi.com/News/HOT-DEAL-Exclusive-Richer-SoundsCambridge-Audio-discount-offer/ looks like a nice discount.

Do you think this would work well with the B&W 685 Speakers?

Although not the 640, I tried the 685s with a view to using them on the end of my 540.......personally I thought they were very bland and very unexciting. Went for the BR2s instead.

CA 640v2 and MA BR2 or MS 902i would gel well for a lovely sound.
