Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and don't have much idea about HiFi systems. Recently, I planned on buying a new system to my home and visited two different stores. One recommended me the CA 340A-SE and the other AA Crescendo. They are nearly double the price here in Istanbul. WHich one should I go for?

Thanks in advance for the help,

Sami

For starters, I thought the Cambride was quite old and had been superseded by the 350a. Secondly, taking a complete guess I'd say they're probably quite close together performance-wise, bearing in mind historic sound-per-pound values of Cambridge versus Audio Analogue.

However, the only way you'll be able to tell is by listening to them and deciding for yourself. Don't be put off by the cheaper price of the Cambridge (find the 350, it's prettier), I'd be quite happy with having one of their amps in my system.
