Cambridge A4 Amp No Left Channel

I've recently dug out my old Cambridge A4 amp, with a view to selling it. I originally stopped using it when it just stopped working, no light, nothing. Well, between my wife and I, we sorted that by changing two internal fuses, so I was just about to list it on eBay, but thought I'd better check for crackly channels etc, and I've now discovered absolutely no sound is coming through the left channel.

Anyone got any ideas what the problem is? Could it be related to the two blown internal fuses from before?

As always, any help would be appreciated.

Just did John, and a fuse had gone again. Just changed it, and turned on, and it's blown again.

Something is most definitely wrong.

It's just blowing the fuse when powering on with no speakers attached, I'm clueless unfortunately.

I just can't throw it away though, I'll have a word with my electrician friend next time I see him.

Why not just sell it for 'Spares or Repairs' instead.

It's not worth a great deal working so a broken one would be about half its value, approx £20.

It would be uneconomical to repair then sell as working you would probably land up worse off.
