Calling all Apple TV3 owners

Hi,

I will be talking with Apple Tech support later today, for the third time, about my ATV3. My problem is that the digital optical out performs very poorly; the audio signal drops out very frequently, whereas the HDMI audio signal is fine. Through this forum and others, I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I thought a straw poll might be interesting. 2 questions:

1) do you use HDMI or Optical as your primary audio output?

2) does your primary audio output suffer from dropouts?

Only have it connected to my Cyrus 6Xpd via optical and connected wirelessly to my Virgin Broadband router. Never had an issue with dropouts at all.
