Loved the first one. I hope this lives up to expectations

Ah, and regarding the price. Get it from Tescos. They sell most new chart games on the 360 between
£25 and £30, so even with a price rise it should still be pretty reasonable.

Hmmm, hired the original one, completed it in about a week and then sent it back - will probably do the same with this new one since I don't really do a lot of online with shooters.

I should probably think about pre-ordering this now. Granted, the previous one wasn't exactly epic in length, but online was the place to be. Nothing quite like sniping down the scope of a Barrett 50 Cal at some poor unsuspecting noob. Looking at the trailers for it, COD: MW2 looks even more badasserer than the last...

I've pre-ordered the prestige edition with night vision goggles

Andy, have you seen the most recent trailer showing the AC-130 killstreak perk? Slightly more devestating than a chopper. . .

Yeah this price sucks big time... thought its £44.99 on amazon uk... everyone should boycot it until the price comes down.

Am interested in these night visions goggles though, are they full size? do they work?

you completed it on veteran difficulty in a week and finished mile high club? mile high club has to be the best part of any game out there.

Lol wait for the price to come down come on people all that entertainment for £50 thats not bad at all, i dont think people seem to get how many staff it takes to make a game now a days, nearly as many to make a hollywood blockbuster, and staff need to be paid.It will sell by the bucket load anyway.Im still playing morden warfare, and world at war and still loving it.

I have indeed - firing off a few rounds from one of those was one of the highlights on the single player mode. Those sticky grenades look like a laugh too!! It's also good to see a rocket launcher that can actually lock onto the chopper. I might have to dust down my copy of the original and get online tonight!

Probably didn't complete it on Veteran, I usually go for the middle setting so whatever that was called on COD4. If I really enjoy a game, I might redo it on the harder setting (like I did for Gears of War) but COD4 didn't inspire me to do this. Don't get me wrong, it was a good game, but not really too sure why everyone has gone nuts for it personally - just a reasonable shooter IMHO and wasn't enough for me to purchase. I can only guess it was the online stuff but as I say, I don't really go in for shooters online, prefer racing games personally.

No idea what Mile High Club is - didn't see it as part of the main game so guessing it's some online part of the game or an add-on that wasn't around when I played it?

@ James, they are fully functional with a quoted range of 50ft, you can check them out at HMV's site as it's exclusive to them.

I'm more excited about the original Call of Duty download tbh, I love playing old shooters on a modern set up; Doom and Duke Nukem on XBLA are excellent.

@ Andy, the rocket was great, but you can see the AC-130 launch flares so I have reservations about how overpowered it may be.

On the flip side, what better way to take revenge on someone who is noob tubing you than to rain death from the sky??

Is coming soon. Well, November with a bigger price tag than before: £55.

Still, as most gamers are playing the prequel a year on, that's amazing value?

Here's the official site with trailer. It looks like a great amp and speaker workout.

Mile High Club was a continuation of the training right at the beginning of the game where u had to go through the training circuit..but mile high club was not a training but a mission at the end of the game where u had to fight terrorists through a jumbo jet, save the hostage and sky dive out the plane all in under 20 seconds. the normal difficulty levels gave u sumthin like 5 mins to do it but on veteran u had 20 seconds i believe. It was not online or an add on.

Veteran was 60 seconds, rising up to a couple of minutes as it got easier.

60 seconds to clear 2 passage ways, 1 flight of stairs and 3 rooms. That was tough! I had to do it when my partner was out as she already thinks I have an 'anger issue' with my xbox

Ah yes, I remember that bit now - was not long after it came out I played it so I'd no idea it was called Mile High Club. Anyway, I did do this on whatever that medium level was - again I must be missing something as don't remember it being that spectacular...

Fair enough Prof, like you said, I think it comes down to liking FPS's or not, as if you don't it's all very much the same in a different guise.

I love FPS's, but am not too keen on 'real world' military shooters, nor online play. I did play COD4, but the friends I played it online with had been playing it for a couple of months or so, and so were much better than me (I found it hard to survive more than a few minutes!).

I'll probably get this, and try to get good online from the start, to stand a fighting chance (pun intended).

Although I'm more looking forward to the likes of Borderlands, Bioshock 2, and Half-Life 2 Episode 3

@ Electroman, I think your right, the more realistic a shooter is, the harder it becomes for someone new to get a foothold in the game/

I can't wait for Bioshock 2 either. I thought Bioshock was one of the best games ever made, it was nice for a developer to focus primarily on the single player aspect and not the online counterpart.

Really enjoyed the COD 4 MW..reservation on the next one, spawn killing with noob tubes (using O/kill perk)is removed, this shoud be a great game.

graphix wise, I was not overly impressed with CoD4, hoping this one blows me away :)

mw2 looks good but i just wonder about the realism if there is to be any at all. i'm looking forward to flashpoint dragon rising and arma 2 more myself. there is one consolation with mw2...it's not made by treyarch who seem to have a knack of making crappy cod games!

Really excited about this after viewing the new footage last night. Looks incredible. I wonder what all the other Unlockable Killstreak Perks will be? There's been some chat regarding the new price and that it will herald a new upper limit for all these prestige games. Not bothered about MW. For a game I'll play religously for a year - possibly two if Treyarch do the following one

- 50 odd quid is good value for money imo.
