CA 740A volume control problem?

I have the Cambridge Audio 740A amp for 2 years and the volume control knob is not working. When I turn the volume down, the volume actually increase.......quite amuzing actually....anyone experiences the same thing?

hi jtsmak,the same happened 2 days ago with my 840 v1 amp.It was when I was adjusting the volume by hand.I just switched the inputs from cd to movie and back to cd and lowered the volume by remote and its not skipped a beat since.A temp glitch i hope.Cambridge audio customer service is very good tough.If it persists even out of warranty i'd drop them an-email
