CA 540D V2 which cable?

Hi, Getting my CA 540D V2 today, do you guys know whether there is any difference between its component and HDMI output picture quality? My receiver (CA 540R V3) does not receive audio via the HDMI anyway, so that consideration does not arise..

Can't say for your specific amp, but the HDMI image is generally a bit sharper I've found.

You won't be using the DVD players upscaling facility unless you use the HDMI output. So the picture will definitely suffer.

Sorry, yes, I didn't read your post properly. Definitely go with HDMI for the reason fr0g has given!
