Buying seperates in stages...

I am interested in the Onkyo receivers (506 or 606) but do not have the budget to buy a 5.1 speaker package as yet. Would I be able to buy the receiver and use existing Sony speakers and sub woofer from my HCIB setup? The satellite speakers are only 2.7 ohms?

I mad the mistake of buying in stages and it took ages. Nice rhyme there hehehe. Anyway, I would save up a bit longer and get most of the system in one hit. eg the onk 606 and surround sound package plus wire. And if i were you i would not try adding the sony speakers as they could possibly blow.
