I am at the moment renting a Toshiba 32 TWL66 but would like to now buy a new tv.I am considering a 37 inch and am looking for a good replacement in this size for my existing tv which will give as good a quality as my current tv. As this will be my last purchase as retirement looms I need to look long term.Do I need to look for a tv which is 1080 ready or is this not essential. Any help welcome.

At 37 inches no way. Never. The pixels on a good HD Ready set like the award winning 37 inch Panasonic Plasma will be so densely packed that you'll find the definition plenty high enough. Panasonic TH37PX70 you can get it for £619 including delivery from Dixons online. Amazing price for a fantastic TV. Have fun!

Yeah, great advice. Just make sure you don't 'upsize' when you retire!!

Hi Will

Thanks for comment.Which format is best for sport and action.Plasma or LCD.

I'd go for plasma. We've just given the Panasonic TH-37PX70 our Best Buy 37in TV Award - it's terrific.

Thank you Andy.I am really in a dilema,32 inch or 37,plasma or Lcd.My furthest sitting position is just 3mtrs so in theory 32 is best, but the extra size as eys get older appeals.
