Hi All

I'm looking to upgrade from my NAD 3020i & have a rather miserly budget of £100 which obviously means a used amp from ebay or gumtree.

I've been looking at

Pioneer A400

Marantz PM66, 44 & 40SE

Another alternative is to get a NAD power amp & use the 3020 as a pre amp.

I'm most tempted by the A400 but have read that it's quite "bright sounding" which concerns me after the warmth of the NAD.

The rest of my system is

Marantz cd63

Kef Coda2 or B&W DM600i

Which amp would you recommend or should I be looking elsewhere?

Thanks

So presumably you consider the A400 to be better than the 3020?

I've also read that you need to be careful what speakers you pair with the A400 due to its' brightness?

If you like the 'house' NAD sound then how's about a NAD C320BEE, brilliant amp well within your budget - goes well with Marantz cd63 aswell, ive owned both and highly recommend the combo

Thanks for the suggestion, is the C320BEE significantly different to the C320?
There are plenty of C320s on Ebay but no BEEs, at least not in my price range.
