Budget Projectors

Ok, so the home cinema bug has bitten me hard again after a few years out!

Keen to get a projector for £4-500 - does anybody have any reccommendations? Was thinking Optoma HD65 or 700x - does anybody have any opinions on these?

I wouldn't have it mounted anywhere, just have it on the table top when needed - would i just get a long HDMI cable?
