'British' Gas name change

Maybe you too have just received the e-mail from (French-owned) British Gas:
'We're changing our name from British Gas Evolve to British Gas'
It wasn't that long ago they came up with the ****ing stupid Evolve name.
Changing back because they've listened to their customers, they say.
How much money did that cost?
How much did some advertising company (full of people that start every sentence with 'So') get for coming up with the pathetic Evolve logo that is no more?
I truly despair of the style over substance times in which we live 😔

British Gas Evolve was just a digital based service, previously called British Gas X. British Gas itself didn’t change.

My guess is based on all the other suppliers going bust they’re simplifying their brand to avoid confusion for potential new customers.

The fact that they changed back proves (if proof were necessary) that change was unnecessary, as it so often is.
