...and that reason alone is enough to count me out.
I don't care who else does it, or whether or not it's 'the norm'.
To date, I've never wanted to book anything enough to encourage online booking fees and I can't see that changing.

I agree, there should be a set price for the ticket and, that should be all you pay. I was looking a prices for a local theatre, they were very reasonable but, there was also a booking fee and a restocking fee. Why the eff do they need to charge a restocking fee?
