typo in SPECS607s3 has a 13cm woofer, not 16.5cm. 606s3's is 16.5cm.
There are significantly cheaper speakers than Q Acoustics Concept 20s, perhaps they are overpriced too...Considering you can get a pair of concept 20,s for under 300, these are way way overpriced.
typo in SPECS
,...in which specs? those of bowers
What Hi-fi don't give answers to forum questions about their reviews....It's noted that these "Need care with system matching"
I didn't see where this was specified, can details be provided as I am interested in this set. Thanks
you're comparing a 15 year old pair of speakers from some no-name company, one with probably a few million dollars to throw at r&d, at most, to a speaker whose designers, are likely the best speaker designers the world has ever known, who are able to incorporates the most cutting-edge technology/materials available (such as titanium tweeters and what not) that humanity, whose speaker designing endeavors are now aided by this emerging technology called ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (even you may have heard of it by now), can muster, and which are made by a hundred year old company with likely hundreds of millions of dollars to spend on r&d every year? yeah okay buddy. I own the 607 s3's and push them with an amp that also exceeds the $300 price point (lol), and I am in a constant state of awe / bliss when I turn these things up, playing hi-res music via Apple Music. they put a bigger smile on my face than any other speaker has in the past, and I've owned some much larger and MUCH more expensive speakers than these. These are better than bookshelf 800 series speakers from just 5 years ago, which cost many multiples as much as the 607 s3. I would love to hear about a speaker that you can compare to the 607s3, but I don't think your concept 20's are the ones pal. I want some of whatever this guy is smoking! Actually, scratch that. I have a sneaking suspicion that I would definitely not smoke whatever weed you're smoking lol. I only smoke the good **** son, and it costs close to $300 for an ounce lol. but I digress: the 607S3’s sound just as good as a $50,000 bookshelf speaker from just a few years ago and they only cost $2000, which is about as much as you’d spend on a few fancy bottles of whiskey these days. The 607S3’s have no business playing as loudly as they have demonstrated they’re capable of playing. The 607s3 are pure sonic bliss in a small box (when matched with the right gear and when playing beautiful music)… But something tells me you probably don’t know much about that either. They’re a bargain for $2k…that you compare them against some random rinky-dink speaker from 15 years ago is hilarious. there's this thing called economies of scale - Bowers and Wilkins has it and your little rinki dink speaker company doesn't unfortunately. That’s the reality. if whatever speaker company you were referring to actually endeavored to make a speaker that a reasonable person might compare to the 607S3, they would end up costing many times more than a 607s3 because they’d be doing so without the advantages of economies of scaleConsidering you can get a pair of concept 20,s for under 300, these are way way overpriced.
