Hi...have trawled through previous posts to get info on new phones.....seen some bose in HMV for £99.99...any comments...ps...i've got £40 voucher for HMV so need to spend it. ta ian

if there are on or over ear they sound very bright. very detailed very clear. but not to my taste. i prefere the bose in ear £79 quid for

mp3 use, sound great with ipod. but i would not use them for hifi use.

and out of the headphones available at HMV, I would say that with your voucher they are a very good buy. Bose are often praised for the sound and regularly criticised for their prices.

I have been using this around/over the ear headphones for about 6 months now. I use it with both my hifi and ipod. It does provide detail sound and the bass is quite defined. It does isolate noise to a certain extend but long usage makes my ear sweaty. Still a great buy if u just need top up 60 quid. Got mine for 120 quid from a bose store.

I think you can always (especially with headphones) find gear with much better price/performance ratio than Bose. Have you tried to look up more headphone-focused brands like Shure, Sennheiser, Ultimate Ears etc?
