Hi to you all - this is my first post.

I recently purchased a Bose lifestyle V30 system for home cinema (long story, and yes I know there is a lot better for the cash......). Unfortunately the cabling for the speakers all comes in pre-set lengths of 20 feet and 50 feet which are too short for my room. I can use the 2 50 feet lengths but the 3 lengths of 20 feet don't reach. The connections are all pre-terminated with Bose proprietory connections so I am a little worried at the Bose advice to simply cut and splice the cables with any type of home installation grade speaker cable. Has anyone any experience with this? Can I simply cut & splice, and if so what to use? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you could splice the cables, but it's neither pretty nor exactly great for the sound. What you really need is some replacement cables made up with a phono plug at the Acoustimass module end, and a Bose AC-2 bare wire plug at the speaker end. Your Bose retailer should be able to assist with this, or you should contact your local Bose distributor.
