Hi. Thanks for letting me join. Pardon me if this is in the wrong place.
My journey with hifi has been mainly piecemeal.
Way back in the seventies I was introduced to hifi. Wharfdale SP11 speakers, Gerrard deck and Pioneer amp.
Sadly life got in the way and my next venture was a Linn Sondeck Basic deck bought on a whim and the stored away until I got the rest of the system. Never did. That too is now long gone.
What I need now is something portable I can stream music from/to. I travel a lot so earbuds/headphones, maybe not in ear. When at home link to TV to give surround sound.
Hope this is not to confusing.
Thank you and cheers

Welcome to the forum, A. Excuse the delay, and I hope it is an appropriate place for an idea, because otherwise this will probably be deleted.

I've used digit audio players (or DAPs), for years. My current and maybe forever device is a HiBy M300. It is super light and compact, and reproduces my digital files collection very nicely. It works mostly with a microSD card onto which I can load loads of FLAC and other lossless and 320kbps CD-ripped files. It is also my first android-based player which allows for downloads of apps including the Amazon Music one which allows me to also stream bigger loads of subscription-music offerings. I've had this for >10 months and never leave home without it now. If this sounds anything like what you're thinking of, I'd be happy to elaborate or answer any questions.

Welcome again, and enjoy advancing your ideas and finding some tools you can at least trial.
