Can anyone please help? I have a Denon 4306 amp 2.5 years old with HDMI but wont decode any of the new HD audio formats. Looking to buy a blue ray player and have been waiting for pana BD55 as it has 8 analogue outs for 7.1 sound in HD. Now people are telling me it can output to my amp in HDMI? so I could buy the cheaper BD35 which does not have analogue outs! I dont want to change my amp as its fine and was expensive, but am now very confused Can anybody tell me which player is the best one to buy and how I go about the cables side of things HELP!

As your Denon won't handle the new HD audio formats, the decoding will have to be done in the player and transferred to the amp via the multichannel analogue outputs, so you'll need the Panasonic DMP-BD55 rather than the BD35.
