I have QED Silver Anniversary XT bi wire cable waiting to hook up and was wondering why the wire is yellow/blue as well as red/black? Due to this should the cable be connected in a specific way?

no it does not matter. just use the 2 pairs as you need too. id put little labels on each pairs for treble and bass.
