Best way to get Spotify through my hifi?

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I couldn't find it easily.

I'm wanting to get Spotify running through my hifi without the need to use a laptop. I've seen the Sonos Connect and that seems to work, but is that the best way or are there other better/cheaper options?

What's your hifi already, and is it anywhere near the telly? Do you happen to have any of a) an iThing b) an Android thing or c) Virgin cable TV?

I have an iPhone, but assume I'd need to plug it in as the battery wouldn't last, which I don't really want to do ideally?

I have a stereo amp and CD player currently, so no DAC to access, but am considering purchasing one to link my DVD and smart TV in (which are both next to the hifi.)

Sonos Connect is the way forward, try and use the Digital Coax Output and a decent cable.

App works on iPhone, iPad, Andriod and laptop
