best version of beethoven violin concerto

Arguably, IMHO, Itzhak Perlman's displays finer virtuosity. However, as an older recording, albeit remastered, it now sounds 'distant' & 'narrow' compared to HH's:

one off:got the nigel kennedy one but dont like it so whats the one to go for

Anne-Sophie Mutter with Kurt Masur and the New York Phil.
Also has the 2 romances on it.
