Best Value Blu Ray Player with multi channel?

I am itching to get into the world of HD audio on my blu ray films (using PS3 at the moment) but my current amp doesn’t support the HD formats but does have multi channel inputs.

My question is what is the best value blu ray player with multi channel outputs currently on sale?

I don’t have a huge budget so would like as cheap as possible but really want to get the sound, apparently I’m really missing out!

IMO, that would be the Panasonic DMP-BD80.

Yep, available for @£220 and Panasonic is running a deal for seven free Blu-rays when you buy one.

Or for @£299-£350 you could step up to the Sony BDP-S760 - I believe that would offer a more noticeable upgrade in performance from your PS3 than the Panasonic.

Thanks for the ideas, will check the new year sales in a couple of weeks.

After experiencing some of the kit you have at the office last week, I've caught the upgrade bug! Will be a slow process with my available funds, projector and sky HD for the world cup are on my wish list.
