Hello!!! I've been too busy lately to listen to new kit :( Which receiver would give me the best 2 channel stereo performance? NAD 755 Arcam AV280 Cambridge Audio 640 Marantz sr7002, Yamaha 1800 Yamaha 3800 Onkyo 800 Pioneer 94 Denon 3808ci (the Denon 2808 is significantely lighter than the aformentioned receivers... transformer weight...) Has anyone actually listened and compared any of these brands and not just read about them? Thanks for any information you have! Jerry

Hi,

You haven't offended anyone - maybe nobody has compared these amps - I haven't.

Have you auditioned any of them?

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

I was being goofy. But thanks for replying regardless. I've only auditioned the Denon as Denon retailers are easy to find in my area. Onkyo, NAD, and Marantz retailers are quite a distance from where I live. Anyway, I'm sure the Denon's Pure Direct mode will be satisfying enough linked to my Arcam CD player... I know the surround sound will be great as it was with my old reliable 3801.
