Best setting for my ps3 and tv?

Whats the best setting i can use for the ps3 with my Tv the tv is only hd ready but when it sets up automatically it reccomends 1080i but i thought the highest supported would have been 720p any ideas? Thanks

1080i is the highest supported resolution, but you can change it manually by going into Display Settings > Video Output Settings and when setting the Output, choose Custom instead of Automatic. You can then untick the 1080i box so everything is then output at 720p.
As to which is better, have a gander at both and see which you prefer.
