hi there all
im planning to get the B&w 684 floor standers ,now i have been reading alot that one needs to choose an amp carefully fror b&w speakers as the kevlar woven woofers can be a bit stubborn and the fact they need classe A/B amplification to drive them.
rotel is supposed to be a good choice for b&ws but i need an multi channel receiver , rotel rsx 1550 is a bit out of my budget at 2000 usd and is pretty basic as far as features go.
my question is that are there any other options other than the rotel ? that can get the best out of the 684s .
i need a reciever that is warm sounding, what about marantz?
another option would be to add a power amp possibly a rotel one to the denon avr 791 which is 90 watts @ 8 ohms, will the rotel match appropriately with the denon and will this combination lead to a better , warmer sound?
