Best Headphones £70-£150?

Continuing from my other headphone thread I think I should cover this budget too, what do you think?

They are the best Grados with a 3.5mm jack (with quarter inch adapter).

Some people say they are uncomfortable and break easily but I've found neither to be the case. Not a good choice for travel though because they leak sound like crazy in both directions.

I hardly ever use headphones, so rather than faff about I just bought myself a 2nd hand pair of Audio Technica ATH-AD700 off another forum at a great price. They seem to have pretty decent reviews so should do the trick nicely. They look a bit big, so front room only, but all the reviews and seller say they are incredibly comfy.

Hm. I heard the 450s and thought they were really closed in. Certainly not on a par with HD25s or Grados.

Depends how you want your music served up really. Being semi open they are nowhere near as leaky as a proper open headphone. Easy to drive, no real need for an amp.

Cheers guys! I am sold on the B&W P5's after a trip to John Lewis, they sound superb! Much better than the P3's and I couldn't tell the difference between the P7's!

Arrived today, and they sound pretty awesome. Can't complain at £50, and they are really comfy too. Well pleased.

Difficult to say. It is well built though.

Well built indeed. I've had mine since they first came out and they regularly get thrown in a bag for offshore trips. They are still in pretty much 'as new' condition and the ear-pads seem to be lasting well (a typical failure point for headphones I have had in the past).

The chord is prone to tieing itself in knots though and could possibly do with being a little thicker.

Hmmm. I had some of those very briefly. Tested them against the Musical Fidelity MF100 and the MFs were hugely more impressive in every sense.
