I am going this week to buy a Sonos bundle 150 and need some help as to what bookshelf speakers i should get. I need 2 sets of speakers. £150 is my limit per set.

a few in mind i had from the what hifi reviews were -

Roth Audio OLI1

tannoy Mercury F1 Custom

Cambridge Audio S30

Sonos SP100

The speakers themselves will be on bookselfs and their backs close to walls. I would prefer to have their finish in black or gray. I am pretty new to all this so any help would be much appreciated

cheers

JohnDuncan:Tannoy and Cambridge from those you mention, but add Q Acoustics 1010i and Wharfedale Diamond 9.1. MS 901i(?) well thought of here, but I didn't like 'em. YMMV.

thanks john

also on the list then ÿ

Q Acoustics 1010i and Wharfedale Diamond 9.1

matthewpiano:Wharfedale Diamond 9.1. Tremendously good speakers for the price. The best midrange and treble of any speaker in their price range.

Yup, my choice too (I have a pair), all other things being equal - some others are cheaper, some are dinkier, but the Diamonds are the best

If you haven't actually bought the Sonos bundle yet then Audio-T are doing the Bu150 with the Monitor Audio BR1 speakers for £749 (or the speakers by themselves for £177), I've actually heard this and it sounds pretty good, although I haven't had an extended listening session.

Details here.

Other than that I'd suggest the Dali Lektor 1's but they don't quite fit into your price range, sounded VERY good at the Bristol Show however.
