Which AV Receiver would you recommend that has Front L/R Pre-Outs. I was thinking of buying the Onkyo TX-SR605 but I can see no way of combining it with my audio amplifier.

I think this Onkyo can do what you need. I think you just connect your stereo amp to the Zone 2 left and right output (next to the subwoofer pre-out). I have the Sony STR-DA1200 and it has front left and right pre out which I connect to my stereo amp to do what you want it.

But if you do that with the Onkyo, you'll get stereo through the amp, not the left and right channels of the 5.1 surround. You really need to step up to the TX-SR705 to have the preouts required to do what you want to do, plus all the features of the TX-SR605

If your not looking to spend that much then you could try the Yamaha DSPAX761 a steal at £229.95 from richer sounds at the moment, has the pre-outs you require

No, we haven't, but it's essentially the 605 with some added facilities - including the preouts.

And with new models in the offiing, chances are we won't now. I'm afraid...
