Hi,

I have a budget of £300 for a new AV amp.

It will have to support HDMI 2.2 for 4K .

Atmos and 7.2 ,would be nice, but is it worth it ?

I will be buying from Richer Sounds

Thank you

TBH you're not going to get much new for 300 quid, probably not 7.2 and probably not Atmos.

You might get a budget Sony unit, 7.2 but NOT Atmos, maybe a budget Onkyo.

You might be better off looking for a used 2016 model instead.

As for Atmos, only really necessary if you're willing to invest in the in, on, or near ceiling speakers needed. The upward firing units that bounce sound off your ceiling can be very hit or miss.

Atmos, 7.2 and HDMI 2.2 support.

Although I love Richer Sounds, you do have other options, I myself brought my av amp from a company on Amazon mainly because my local RS didn't have my choice in stock.

Hi all,and thanks for the help so far.

The Denon,is ideal, but a tad more then I can afford at the moment

I have seen the Yamaha RXV581 ,for £349.

I do like Yamaga AV receivers ,and it has 7.2 at Atmos :)

Worth the extra £50 ?

Thanks
