Have recently purchased a pair of Mission M35i floorstanding speakers which i have to say i am very impressed with. It seems its about time to upgrade the amplifier now; I wish to change from my current one which runs continuously at 64watts rms p/c, and i do like my music loud! The speakers can take between 25-150watts rms p/c and so am looking at amplifiers with atleast 100watts rms p/c, I would also like to add a subwoofer into the equation at some point and so would also require a pre-out! Any suggestions?

the cambridge audio 740a is a pretty good amp, has 100w and pre-out and comes in at £499 but i think there is probably slightly better amps at that budget.

Im struggling to think of any others that kick out 100w but i wouldnt get to bogged down with watts most amps at 50-80w (more common at your budget) will do perfectly for your missions wich at 92db sensitivity are super efficient and will prove a very easy load to your average 60w amp for example allowing it to drive the speakers with good clean power.

i use my mission m73 with 89db sensitivity with a pioneer a 400 which is 50w and they go very loud.

if you take the 100w out of your criteria you will have a much bigger choice, im not sure through what the best amp below £500 is myself and would be interested to here what other people think

The old 2000 integrated which I used to own with its matching player does come up ever so often on ebay or on specialist s/h sites for between £250 - 350 or so. There are not many s/h but if you/re a little patient you'll get one.
isn't the creek evo quite powerful, drummerman tell us where you can get a 2n hand avi for £500 please, what a great amp.
I'm not Drummerman but I've owned an Evo and yes it's surprisingly powerful as it looks demure. 85w into 8ohm or a full 170w into 4. You will not need more than that and it sounds excellent - very accurate tight bass and vocals sound real. You can pick ex demos from Creek's website too for circa £350. In my opinion you won't get much better for under £500.
